I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A relative of mine used to work at Southeast Texas Regional Airport – Administrative Office, Manager in Beaumont, TX and he once said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to easily manage the many types of contracts they use. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I am looking for it to do. There are many advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are more benefits but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software program reviews are generally the quickest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do some more investigating to determine which packages offer the best features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Beaumont as well as a number of IT businesses providing this as a service.
