I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most reliable contract management software and am still at a loss as to which product to get. A colleague of mine briefly worked at PAI Aero Inc in Baton Rouge, LA and he said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this kind of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I would like it to do. There are many advantages of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more product advantages but they are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Contract Insight
• Blueridge Software
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the best software based on features, cost, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are generally the quickest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially such important software.

My next move is to do some more research to see which products offer the greatest features and the best value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Baton Rouge as well as a number of IT companies providing this as a service.
