I have spent the last few months searching for the most reliable contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A colleague of mine worked at RUTA Maya International Headquarters in Austin, TX and he said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software enables organisations to effectively manage the different types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are many benefits of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• facilitates compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• provides clarity

There are further benefits but these are what matters most to me and often to other businesses.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make a good decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do some more investigating to work out which programs offer the best features and the best value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Austin as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
