I have spent the last 2 months investigating the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A colleague of mine worked at Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, GA and she said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this kind of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software lets organisations to easily manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This kind of software can ensure consistent contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are many reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• improves clarity

There are other advantages but these are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am considering includes the following:

• Finetooth
• IntelliContract
• Softrax
• Memba Context

I really should narrow it down to the best software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are generally the easiest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a little more reading to work out which packages offer the best features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Atlanta as well as a number of IT businesses giving this as a service.
