I have spent the last couple of months looking for the most reliable contract management software and am still unsure as to which program to buy. A friend of mine used to work at Washington Shuttle Inc in Arlington, VA and she said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to purchase this type of software. I tried to explain why I would like to use contract management software by first showing what the software does:

Contract management software lets companies to effectively manage the various types of contracts they use. This kind of software can ensure standard contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least what I would like it to do. There are many benefits of using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• increases compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are more benefits but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to reduce the list to the top software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Product reviews are frequently the quickest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a bit more research to work out which packages offer the best features and the most value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Arlington as well as a number of IT organisations presenting this as a service.
