I have spent the last few months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which way to go. A friend of mine used to work at Souther Field Aviation in Americus, GA and he said they never used that kind of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to discuss why I need to use contract management software by first showing what the software is used for:

Contract management software enables organisations to easily manage the different types of contracts they use. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of advantages of using particular contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are other advantages but these are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am researching includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really should reduce the list to the most effective software based on features, cost, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are frequently the quickest way to make the right decision before downloading software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a little more investigating to see which products offer the most features and the greatest value for money. It is not easy seeing as there are a lot of contract management software providers in Americus as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
