I have spent the last few months searching for the most reliable contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A friend of mine worked at Metro Knoxville Airport Authority in Alcoa, TN and he said they never used that type of software and could not make sense of why I want to buy this type of software. I tried to explain why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software is used for:

Contract management software lets enterprises to easily manage the different types of contracts they engage in. This type of software can ensure standard contracts which shows payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at least what I am looking for it to do. There are a number of reasons for using purpose built contract management software. For example it:

• easily automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides contract clarity

There are further benefits but they are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Finetooth
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really must shorten the list to the best software based on features, price, and then on user reviews. Product reviews are often the quickest way to make the right decision before buying software, especially this type of software.

My next move is to do a bit more investigating to see which products offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are quite a lot of contract management software providers in Alcoa as well as a number of IT companies giving this as a service.
