I have spent the last 2 months looking for the most efficient contract management software and am still not convinced as to which program to buy. A relative of mine used to work at Albany International Airport – Airport Manager in Albany, NY and she said they never used that kind of software and could not understand why I want to get this type of software. I tried to discuss why I would like to use contract management software by first discussing what the software is designed for:

Contract management software lets organisations to efficiently manage the various types of contracts they utilise. This specific type of software can ensure standard contracts which displays payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is basically what contract management software does or at a minimum what I want it to do. There are numerous benefits of using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automates the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces risk
• provides clarity

There are further benefits but those are what matters most to me and often to other organisations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Contract Insight
• Softrax
• Accruent

I really have to shorten the list to the most effective software based on features, value, and then on user reviews. Software reviews are frequently the easiest way to make a good decision before buying software, especially this kind of software.

My next move is to do a bit more investigating to determine which programs offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Albany as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
