I have spent the last few months searching for the best contract management software and am still not convinced as to which product to get. A friend of mine briefly worked at Ada-City – Municipal Airport in Ada, OK and she said they never used that style of software and could not comprehend why I want to get this type of software. I tried to show why I need to use contract management software by first explaining what the software does:

Contract management software enables enterprises to effectively manage the different types of contracts they utilise. This type of software can ensure very consistent contracts which details payments, deliverables, commitments, and compliance terms of the contract.

So that is what contract management software does or at least in my case what I would like it to do. There are many reasons for using specific contract management software. For example it:

• automatically controls the contract cycle
• improves compliance on both sides
• reduces the risk
• improves clarity

There are other benefits but those are what matters most to me and frequently to other corporations.

Software I am thinking about getting includes the following:

• Contract Connect
• Khameleon Software by Oracle
• Softrax
• ProCon

I really have to shorten the list to the best software based on features, price, and then on customer reviews. Software program reviews are often the quickest way to make a good decision before purchasing software, especially this type of software.

My next step is to do a little more reading to determine which packages offer the greatest features and the greatest value for money. It is quite difficult seeing as there are so many contract management software providers in Ada as well as a number of IT organisations giving this as a service.
